Real Madrid have officially entered the race to sign Viktor Gyokeres, as per the latest update from Fichajes. In fact, the Spanish giants are preparing a bid that could go as high as €100 million to secure the services of the Swedish striker.

With the summer transfer window fast approaching, Real Madrid are determined to bring in attacking reinforcements, and Gyokeres has emerged as a strong candidate.

However, they are not the only club interested in his signature, as several Premier League teams, including Manchester United, are also keeping a close eye on him.

Sporting aware of interest

His current club, Sporting, are fully aware of the striker’s growing reputation and understand that his market value has significantly increased.

His release clause is set at €100 million, and club president Frederico Varandas has made it clear that Sporting will not allow him to leave for anything less than an offer that reflects his performances.

Gyokeres has been one of the most dangerous forwards in European football this season, which has made him a key target for multiple top clubs.

Sporting have the advantage

Sporting Lisbon currently hold a strong position in the negotiations. They are leading the Portuguese league by a significant margin.

Furthermore, their likely qualification for the Champions League next season gives them leverage to retain their top scorer rather than rushing into a sale.

The club’s financial situation is dependent on multiple factors, including television revenue, European competition earnings, and player sales. The final decision on whether to sell Gyokeres could ultimately depend on how the season unfolds.

With an outstanding record of 39 goals and nine assists in 40 matches this season, Gyokeres has demonstrated his ability to be a consistent goal-scorer.

Now, it is up to Florentino Perez and his board to determine whether the Swedish international is the ideal signing to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the next campaign.
