Following yesterday’s report that Real Madrid are monitoring Nottingham Forest defender Murillo, new information from Fichajes suggests that Madrid will face stiff competition to secure the Brazilian’s signature.
As per the outlet, Bayern Munich and Chelsea are both keeping a close eye on Murillo, making the upcoming transfer battle a high-stakes affair.
It must be noted that Murillo has quickly become one of the most sought-after young defenders in Europe.
For Bayern Munich, he represents a key option to strengthen their backline. With Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae facing uncertain futures, the German giants are looking for a centre-back who combines youth, quality, and potential.
Reports indicate that Bayern could consider a deal worth around £43.5 million (close to €50 million), with the player’s salary seen as attractive to the club.
For Chelsea, the need to bolster the defence is urgent. Levi Colwill’s torn cruciate ligament has left a significant gap at Stamford Bridge, and Murillo could be the solution to reinforce the Blues’ rearguard.

English media reports that Chelsea are actively monitoring him as a target for either the winter or summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid have formally entered the race for the Brazilian. Murillo is being evaluated as an alternative to other defensive targets, as the club continues to review options to strengthen the squad.
While Madrid have a track record of spending on top defenders, the financial demands make the process challenging.
In addition, the Spanish club is also keeping tabs on other centre-backs, including Dayot Upamecano, Ibrahima Konate and Marc Guehi, who could become viable options on the open market.
With multiple top clubs showing interest, Murillo’s next move will be closely watched across Europe.
