Barcelona have made it a point of late to scour the free-agent pool for signings given their delicate financial situation.
The strategy has worked fairly well with players like Andreas Christensen, Eric Garcia, Ilkay Gundogan, and Franck Kessie adding value to the team.
As such, Barça are once again keeping a close watch on the free-agent market heading into 2025, with top names like Jonathan Tah, Alphonso Davies, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Mohamed Salah, among others seeing their contracts expire at the end of the season.
Barcelona have been credited with interest in Tah and Davies while Salah, too, has been linked tentatively.
However, according to a report from Fichajes, Barcelona have not shown an active interest in signing Salah for free next year mainly because of his massive wages.

The Liverpool megastar is believed to be on a mammoth salary worth €25 million per year, a figure that is very much unattainable for the Blaugrana in their current situation with regard to Financial Fair Play.
Salah, given his excellence for almost a decade at Liverpool, would be a dream signing for most clubs. But his wages make it near-impossible for Barcelona to seriously pursue a move for the Egyptian icon.
Instead, there is a solid possibility that the former Chelsea forward might end up moving to Saudi Arabia when his Liverpool contract expires.
While Salah might not arrive, Barça are in the market for a new winger, but they are looking for someone who can play on the left as they have Lamine Yamal locked in on the right flank.
The names of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Nico Williams are once again doing the rounds and it remains to be seen who Barcelona go after come summer of 2025.
