Roma’s transfer window continues to develop on the flanks as well.
In addition to strengthening their attack, the Giallorossi are working to identify a player capable of increasing the quality and depth of the left flank requested by Gian Piero Gasperini.
According to Il Messaggero, Diego Moreira remains one of the names being closely monitored by the Giallorossi management.
The Strasbourg winger is considered an ideal candidate due to his technical abilities and development prospects, but negotiations are shaping up to be anything but straightforward.
The French club, in fact, values the player at around €40 million, a figure deemed very high by Roma.
For this reason, sporting director Tony D’Amico is working to determine whether there is scope to lower Strasbourg’s financial demands and make the deal sustainable. At the same time, the Giallorossi director has already taken initial steps regarding the player.
According to the newspaper, D’Amico has initiated contact with Moreira’s entourage to verify the 2004-born player’s willingness to move to the capital and to explore the details of a possible personal agreement.
Roma, therefore, continues to pursue multiple options simultaneously.
While Mason Greenwood is the top priority for strengthening the attack, the club doesn’t want to be caught off guard in the other positions identified by Gasperini.
The management’s goal is to accelerate the process in the coming weeks and try to hand over at least one or two new signings to the coach during the early stages of summer preparations.
