Serie A giants Roma have reportedly informed Inter Milan about their substantial asking price for in-demand midfielder Manu Kone.

According to Il Messaggero via FCInterNews, the Giallorossi won’t let the 24-year-old leave the Olimpico for less than €45 million.

Manu Kone emerged as one of Inter’s top targets last summer.

However, the Nerazzurri couldn’t find an agreement with Roma, forcing the club to sign Andy Diouf instead.

With the former Lens star failing to settle at San Siro, Cristian Chivu is looking to reinforce his midfield options in the summer.

Furthermore, the runaway Serie A leaders are ready to part ways with fringe star Davide Frattesi at the end of the season.

Despite playing a prominent role in Gian Piero Gasperini’s system, Kone could leave the capital in the coming months.

Indeed, Roma must raise funds through player sales to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.

As one of the club’s most prized assets, the former Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder could fall victim to Roma’s need for cash.

However, Inter will reportedly have to splash out around €45 million to convince the Giallorossi to sanction Kone’s transfer.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri are looking to use Frattesi as part of the deal to soften Roma’s stance.
