Report – Sampdoria Keen To Sign Inter Milan Owned Wingback On Loan | OneFootball

Serie B relegation fighters Sampdoria have reportedly set their sights on Inter Milan wingback Franco Carboni.

According to TMW via FCInterNews, La Samp are plotting a winter swoop for the versatile defender.

Franco Carboni faltered during his season-long loan at Monza last term.

Therefore, Inter had to loan him out to Serie B in the summer, sending him to Empoli in July.

Indeed, the 22-year-old joined the Azzurri on loan with an option to buy.

Despite making 16 league appearances in the first half of the season, Carboni could leave Empoli this month.

Indeed, the Argentine has recently tumbled down the pecking order, failing to start a Serie B game since the beginning of November.

Meanwhile, Sampdoria have identified Carboni as a potential winter addition to help them avoid the drop.

Angelo Gregucci would ideally sign the player on loan until the end of the season.
