Juventus appear ready to revisit a familiar name as they continue shaping their squad under Luciano Spalletti. According to reporting from Gazzetta, Bournemouth attacker Justin Kluivert has emerged as a genuine option for the Italian giants as they assess potential additions in attacking midfield.

The Dutch international is expected to be monitored closely during the upcoming World Cup, with Juventus weighing up whether his impressive rise on the south coast could translate into success in Turin.
Kluivert’s journey has been anything but straightforward.
Once regarded as one of Europe’s brightest young talents after bursting onto the scene at Ajax, expectations followed him throughout spells in Italy, Germany, France and Spain. His move to Roma in 2018 generated excitement, yet consistency proved elusive despite a respectable return of nine goals and ten assists in 68 appearances.
A series of loan moves followed, taking him to RB Leipzig, Nice and Valencia. Each stop offered glimpses of quality without delivering the breakthrough many anticipated.
That breakthrough finally arrived at Bournemouth.
The report credits Andoni Iraola, now reportedly Liverpool’s manager, with transforming both Kluivert’s role and career trajectory. Rather than using him primarily as a traditional winger, Iraola repositioned him in more central areas behind the striker, allowing his movement, finishing ability and attacking instincts to flourish.
The tactical adjustment delivered significant rewards.
Kluivert developed into one of Bournemouth’s most effective attacking players, producing a campaign that pushed him beyond double figures for goals and helped secure a place in the Netherlands’ World Cup squad.

What makes this particularly noteworthy is that his progress came despite disruption caused by knee surgery during the previous season.
Juventus officials are believed to view that resilience positively. Players capable of overcoming setbacks often possess the mentality required to thrive at clubs where expectation levels remain permanently high.
Gazzetta suggests Juventus still regard Brahim Diaz as their preferred target for the attacking midfield role.

However, Kluivert’s profile offers several advantages. He is already familiar with Serie A, understands the demands of Italian football and arrives at a point in his career where confidence appears significantly stronger than during his first spell in the country.
For Juventus, this is not simply a story about potential. It is increasingly about proven development.
A player once searching for direction has found a system that highlights his strengths. The challenge now is determining whether that evolution can be replicated on a bigger stage.
Should Juventus decide to accelerate their interest, Kluivert would arrive in Turin carrying far more substance than when he first left Serie A.
For Bournemouth fans, reports linking Justin Kluivert with Juventus are both flattering and frustrating.
Supporters have watched his transformation first hand. When Bournemouth signed him, there was excitement about his talent but uncertainty about whether he could finally fulfil the promise shown at Ajax. Under Iraola, the answer became clear. Kluivert developed into one of the team’s most dangerous attacking players and a key contributor in the final third.
That progress was not accidental. Bournemouth created an environment where his qualities could thrive, allowing him to play centrally and attack spaces more effectively. Fans will naturally feel that any club interested today is benefiting from work carried out on the south coast.
There is also a sense of pride. Seeing Bournemouth players linked with clubs such as Juventus reflects how far the club has progressed. Talented footballers increasingly view the Cherries as a platform for growth rather than simply a stepping stone.
At the same time, supporters will hope the club stand firm. Kluivert remains an important figure within the squad and replacing his goals, creativity and tactical intelligence would not be easy.
If Juventus want to test Bournemouth’s resolve, they may need to produce an offer that truly reflects the player’s value and his importance to the project.
