It’s now a near-certainty that the Swiss veteran will leave San Siro in June.

Despite his impressive form in the last three years, Sommer is unlikely to renew his expiring contract in Milan.

Indeed, the 37-year-old has entered the autumn of his career, with Inter eager to inject young blood into the squad this summer.

Furthermore, Cristian Chivu’s men have already identified a perfect replacement for the former Bayern Munich star.

Inter Milan Place Tottenham Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario at the Top of Summer Shortlist

Guglielmo Vicario has grown frustrated with life in North London and could force his way back to Serie A at the end of the season.

Moreover, with Spurs fighting for Premier League survival, it’s hard to imagine the former Empoli man staying in England for one more year.

On the other hand, Inter appear to be determined to lure Vicario back to his homeland.

Indeed, the Nerazzurri have identified him as their top goalkeeping target, dropping interest in Mile Svilar and Andriy Lunin.
