Serie A giants Inter Milan reportedly remain interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur star Guglielmo Vicario as Yann Sommer’s heir. 

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the 29-year-old is the leading candidate to replace the outgoing Swiss veteran.

Yann Sommer will sever ties with the runaway Serie A leaders at the end of the season.

Indeed, the 37-year-old has failed to earn a new deal, with his current contract expiring in June.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri are in the market for a new goalkeeper, with Guglielmo Vicario emerging as the club’s top target.

Vicario, who joined Tottenham from Empoli in 2023, is desperate to return to Serie A after three years.

However, Spurs are reluctant to negotiate any transfer deals before securing Premier League survival.

Meanwhile, Inter could launch an opening bid for the Italian shot-stopper at the start of the summer transfer window.

On the other hand, Cristian Chivu’s men have recently added Lens starlet Robin Risser to their shortlist.

Valued at around €20 million, Risser is one of the most promising young keepers in Europe’s top-five leagues.

Still, Inter will only approach the Ligue 1 outfit if they fail to sign Vicario.
