According to NY Times, away-end tickets to see Arsenal lift the Premier League trophy at Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park are being listed for as much as £45,000 on resale sites.
On SeatPick, a ticket search marketplace, the cheapest available are £3,000, with most between £10,000 and £20,000. Buying and selling unauthorised Premier League tickets is illegal under United Kingdom law.
Resale platforms can avoid UK enforcement by operating overseas. SeatPick is headquartered in Israel and appears on the Premier League’s list of “known unauthorised ticket websites”, alongside several vendors advertising through the comparison site.
Arsenal secured the title on Tuesday after Manchester City’s draw with Bournemouth left Mikel Arteta’s side out of reach going into next weekend’s final round. To deter Arsenal fans from entering home sections, Crystal Palace announced measures on 12 May.
The club disabled ticket sharing for the fixture and warned that any supporter found sharing a ticket will be barred from buying a season ticket or membership next season.
Palace also restricted sales to supporters with club accounts created before 1 December, and said enhanced security checks with searches will be in place on Sunday afternoon.
Even so, hundreds of home-end tickets are listed on SeatPick, ranging from £944 to more than £72,000, with some VIP packages just under £65,000. Some listings do not include seat numbers, only general areas.
