Rest and late cameos for OL internationals | OneFootball

OL’s internationals had a quiet week, with Nicolás Tagliafico unused and Loïs Openda plus recently departed Malick Fofana limited to late cameos.

According to Le Progres, Tagliafico was rested as a precaution after minor muscular discomfort, watching from the bench as Argentina beat Bolivia 4-0 overnight from Wednesday to Thursday.

On Friday night in the Nations League, Belgium faced Türkiye. Openda came on in the 82nd minute, at the same time as Fofana, a familiar face for Lyon supporters.

Former OL favourite Rayan Cherki started against Italy in a 1-1 draw. He supplied the assist for France’s only goal, finished by Olise.

Elsewhere, Dominik Greif with Slovakia, Keito Nakamura with Japan and Zachary Athekame with Switzerland continue their international camps and hope for minutes this weekend.
