Matt Law was on the London is Blue podcast this week, and had some interesting information about Marco Palestra, who looks set to return sooner rather than later from the injury that has kept him out all season so far.

Law said there was “great confidence” at Chelsea that the defender will be available after the three weeks of international break we’ve just started.

Palestra return can’t come too soon for struggling Chelsea

It felt like Palestra was very close to being ready to play Brentford, so we’re not surprised that it’s pretty certain he will be ready to go after these three weeks of international break.

We’re actually glad no risks were taken with him, and he was given these extra weeks to recover fully. We’ve got high hopes for his impact after the break and beyond. His return, along with the return of the likes of Moises Caicedo, should mean a jump in performance levels for the Blues, who need an injection of fresh confidence after some bad results.
