PSL confirms Betway Premiership monthly award winners for August

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced the first recipients of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership monthly awards.

With five league matches played to date, Sekhukhune United head coach Eric Tinkler walked away with the Betway Premiership coach of the month accolade for August.

The former Cape Town City mentor guided Babina Noko to four wins over Orlando Pirates, TS Galaxy, Orbit College and Durban City respectively, while drawing with AmaZulu.

Meanwhile, TS Galaxy gem Puso Dithejane was named player of the month after his impressive exploits last month, edging Keletso Makgalwa and Brandon Petersen.

The 21-year-old utility player scored a hatrick against Chippa United and provided two assists in the other matches to finish August with a total of five goal contributions in as many matches.

On the other hand, newly signed Orlando Pirates winger Kamogelo Sebelebele clinched the goal of the month award for this thunderous strike against Stellenbosch FC.
