An update on the future of Vinicius Tobias at La Liga giants Real Madrid has today been provided.
The info comes courtesy of Relevo, who point towards defender Vinicius’ stint in Spain’s capital inching ever closer to an imminent end.
The right-back, for his part, has been plying his trade on the books of Real since the summer of 2022, when he was brought in on an initial one-year loan from Shakhtar Donetsk.
With a decision on his future having not yet been made, the Blancos brass then opted to extend Vinicius’ stay for another season last summer.
This time round, though, a call will be needed, as to whether the 20-year-old has a long-term future at the Santiago Bernabéu or not.
And, unfortunately for Vinicius, as things stand, the latter looks altogether more likely.
Though he has not necessarily disappointed across his two years in Madrid, the Brazilian youth international has not set the world alight, either, with the emergence of 16-year-old sensation Jesús Fortea meaning his presence could soon become a hindrance.
Vinicius is not viewed as possessing the required qualities to succeed Dani Carvajal in the long-term under Carlo Ancelotti, with Relevo therefore concluding that:
‘Although there are still months ahead and it would make no sense to settle the matter in February, right now the possibility of Real Madrid activating the purchase option it has for the Brazilian full-back is very small.’
