Claudio Ranieri was not the only candidate on Roma’s extensive list to succeed Ivan Juric as head coach of the club.
Before turning to the veteran technician, the Giallorossi are said to have tried their luck on numerous fronts.
As reported by Tuttomercatoweb, in fact, Roma had also started talking with Okan Buruk.
The current Galatasaray coach, appreciated for his ability to manage champions of Osihmen, Icardi and Ziyech’s caliber, did not wish to leave Turkey.
Buruk is urrently first in the SuperLig standings and third in the Europa League League Phase with 10 points after 4 matchdays.
Thus, Roma’s approach was promptly dismissed.
