Inter Milan will likely replace Piero Ausilio internally with Dario Baccin if he is to leave for Al-Hilal.

This according to today’s print edition of Italian newspaper Quotidiano Sportivo, via FCInterNews.

The future of Sporting Director Piero Ausilio looks to be in some doubt at Inter Milan.

Reportedly, Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal have identified the 53-year-old as their top target to become their new Sporting Director.

Al-Hilal have already scored one major coup by bringing in Simone Inzaghi as coach.

Inzaghi decided to leave high level football in favour of the opportunity to earn more at Al-Hilal. And that has emboldened the Saudi club to try and bring in another high profile figure from Inter.

According to Quotidiano Sportivo, Inter have a clear idea on who they would look to replace Ausilio with in the event that he decides to accept a big money offer from Al-Hilal.

The newspaper furthermore report that the Nerazzurri would have an internal solution.

Currently, therefore, Dario Baccin is Ausilio’s deputy at Inter.

And Quotidiano Sportivo anticipate that Inter would be ready to promote the Assistant Sporting Director into Ausilio’s role if the latter is to be on his way.
