Massimiliano Allegri is prepared to continue at AC Milan beyond this season, but has set out clear conditions for his stay, demanding significant investment in the transfer market and an end to the internal power struggles that have undermined his position throughout the campaign.
According to reports from MilanNews, Allegri’s contract contains a clause that would automatically extend his deal until June 2028 at around €6 million net per season should Milan secure Champions League qualification in the final week of the season.

The contractual extension, however, is only part of the picture. Allegri wants assurances on two fronts before committing his future to the club.
The first is a substantial summer recruitment drive.
With European football on the horizon, Milan’s current squad of around 19 outfield players is considered wholly insufficient. Allegri wants the roster expanded to at least 25, with experienced players supplemented by young talent suited specifically to his style of play.
The coach has made clear he expects to have genuine input into recruitment decisions, and that requests will be honoured rather than bypassed. If he asks for a centre-forward, he expects a centre-forward to arrive.
The second demand is clarity of roles within the organisation. The internal conflicts and unauthorised interventions in transfer matters that have characterised this season must stop.
Allegri is understood to have been explicit on this point, and owner Gerry Cardinale is said to have responded positively, having publicly backed the coach’s work in a recent interview. A definitive meeting between all parties is expected once the season concludes.
