Liverpool are reportedly eyeing up a midfielder who could become their own answer to Rodri at Manchester City.
Despite the mercurial form of Ryan Gravenberch, the Reds are not one to rest on their laurels when it comes to the market.
Richard Hughes and his recruitment team will be continuously on the move to identify players who can take Liverpool to the next step.
High on the club's agenda is the acquisition of a no.6 in order to fill a long-standing void in the squad that hasn't been properly addressed in the last two years with failed moves for Aurelien Tchouameni and Moises Caicedo.
According to Caught Offside, one of the players Liverpool have targeted in order to fix the no.6 crisis at the club is Hugo Larsson.
The 20-year-old is still very young but he has recently established himself as a key member of Eintracht Frankfurt's first team, where he has caught the eye with his impressive performances.
The report claims Frankfurt value him at €70m-€80m, which would mean he would cost Liverpool the equivalent of £66m on the high end.
That's not a cheap sum of money to pay, especially for a player who is still so young and unproven at the highest level.
However, Larsson is highly rated and has been compared to Manchester City's Rodri and Kevin de Bruyne in the past.

The Bundesliga's official website described him as a player who has shades of Rodri in his ability to break-up opposition play and the skilfulness of Kevin de Bruyne.
That's not a bad mix. If Larsson is even half as good as Rodri and De Bruyne combined, then Liverpool would be very smart to invest the £66m on his services.
For that price, he could even prove to be a bargain.
