The last few weeks have been gutwrenching for Liverpool supporters.

First came the news that Mohamed Salah would be LEAVING the club in summer 2026. Despite a contract until 2027 it was decided to rip up his £400k per week deal one year early.

And earlier this week came then news that fellow Liverpool legend Andy Robertson would also be exiting the club. Having spent nine years on Merseyside the Scotland captain will be departing when his contract ends.

Another member of Jurgen Klopp’s all-conquering team is leaving and right now it’s not certain that Robbo will be the last one.

Liverpool raise concerns over Alisson's fitness

Because a report in the Brazilian media is claiming that Liverpool’s hierarchy have got “concerns” over Alisson Becker’s medium-term prospects and may well entertain a bid from Juventus this summer.

Alisson, 33, is now contracted until 2027 with the club having triggered a one-year extension. It means Richard Hughes would be guaranteed a fee for the goalkeeper rather than losing him for free.

“A series of physical problems in recent seasons has reduced his prominence,” the report in RTI Esporte reads.

“Despite the coaching staff's confidence, his frequent absences during crucial moments have generated internal concern.

“The club, mindful of its medium-term planning, is already evaluating alternatives for that position.”

Juventus deal moves closer for Alisson

Alisson is currently out injured and won’t play against Fulham on Saturday. Instead Arne Slot is hoping to have him fit for the very last games of the Premier League season as a top-five finish is sought.

Alisson isn’t as reliable as he once was - missing multiple matches last season too. With Giorgi Mamardashvili ready to take over as No1 the Premier League champions are well stocked in the goalkeeping position should Alisson go.

Momentum has gathered over the last number of weeks around a potential move back to Serie A for the Brazil international.

Luciano Spalletti - the Juventus coach - was in charge of Alisson during their days together at Roma prior to the shot-stopper’s move to Anfield. And Juventus are plotting an overhaul this summer with Spalletti identifying Alisson as his new No1.

A report earlier this week claimed that talks between Alisson’s entourage and Juve were fruitful and the goalkeeper is open to a return to Serie A.

It will soon come time for the clubs to trash out a deal and it remains to be seen how much Hughes can charge for his services.

But following the announcement of the departures of Salah and Robertson another all-time Liverpool legend looks set to walk out the door.
