Richard Ríos, currently sidelined at Benfica, has voiced concern over severe flooding in his native Colombia.

The Colombia international has been out since 14 January after suffering an injury in the Taça de Portugal defeat to Porto. According to Glorioso 1904, he then used social media to address the situation at home.

He described it as painful to witness, sent strength to those affected and urged support for Córdoba, finishing with a call for unity.

Ríos remains in recovery and is targeting a return in time to help Benfica against Real Madrid in the Champions League play-off.

He has also been active online, welcoming Jhon Arias following his move to Palmeiras.

This season he has played 32 games for Benfica and is valued at €22 million. His tally includes 16 in the Liga Portugal Betclic, 10 in the Champions League, three in the Taça de Portugal, two in the Taça da Liga and one in the Supertaça, across 2,622 minutes, with three goals and two assists.
