Rick surpasses last season’s haul as Corinthians pivot takes starring role | OneFootball

Corinthians thrashed Wimpro Guarulhos 5-1 at the Ginásio Wlamir Marques in the seventh round of the Campeonato Paulista, climbing back into second. For pivot Rick, the night brought his ninth goal of the season, already eclipsing his 2025 total.

The 32-year-old arrived at Parque São Jorge in June last year from Croatia's Osijek Kandit, recruited for the run-in in the LNF and Paulistão. According to Meu Timao, he soon helped win the Torneio Mucho Más in Spain and contributed to runs to the LNF and State finals, where Corinthians finished runners-up, ending 2025 with 36 appearances and eight goals.

He remained for 2026 as the squad was reshaped under cost-cutting led by president Osmar Stabile, taking on added responsibility for Fernando Malafaia's side. In 24 matches this year he sits second in the club's scoring charts, behind winger Maicon on 11.

Across his Corinthians career Rick has played 60 times, with 32 wins, nine draws and 19 defeats. In that span he has 17 goals, four assists and one trophy.

He has a chance to add to those numbers on Saturday, when Timão visit Umuarama at 19:30 at the Ginásio Amario Vieira da Costa in the 11th round of the LNF. His overall points percentage stands at 58.33 percent, and supporters have given him an average rating of 7.44 from 43 votes.
