Crystal Palace match-winner Jairo Riedewald was delighted to score his first goal in over a year for the club.
The Premier League outfit had to work extremely hard to get past Stoke City in the FA Cup.
However, a narrow win thanks to goals from Cheikhou Kouyate and Riedwald secured a quarter-final spot for Patrick Vieira's team.
Asked about his situation over the past year post-game, Riedewald said: "It has been really tough, I am a professional football player and the manager has to make decisions.
"Unfortunately I haven't been in the squad that much or playing much that season but I always come to the training ground with a smile. I always work hard, be patient and wait for my chance."
