A Rio de Janeiro business court has removed Pedrinho from control of Vasco’s SAF and installed lawyer Samantha Longo as administrator, following a request from 777 Carioca based on findings by the SAF’s Fiscal Council.
The ruling also removed Christiano Stockler Campos and Felipe Elias from the SAF board. It was issued by judge Caroline Fonseca of the fourth Business Court in Rio de Janeiro, granting 777 Carioca’s petition.
Longo has been tasked to take charge and within 60 days restore governance processes, transparency, accounting and the flow of information between the company’s bodies, and to file updates every 15 days.
The judge said the Fiscal Council’s opinion on the 2025 financial statements, issued on 30 April 2026, identified serious governance failures, weak internal controls, limits on oversight and a lack of formal approval for relevant corporate acts.
The decision also cited reports of coercive practices in player signings, noting that an online search found a 30 January 2026 complaint by forward Jean David alleging demands to pay third-party commissions under threat of not playing.
Jean David, a Chilean forward who left Vasco at the end of 2025, has said he faced pressure to cover fees tied to his August 2024 transfer from Toluca.
