Rio de Janeiro will observe a half-day public holiday on Wednesday as Flamengo and Vasco contest finals.
According to Globo.com, mayor Eduardo Paes announced the measure for the capital on Monday morning, before governor Cláudio Castro extended it to the whole state. It applies from midday.

Flamengo face Paris Saint-Germain in the Intercontinental Cup final at 14:00 Brasília time, at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Doha.
Vasco play the first leg of the Copa do Brasil final against Corinthians at 21:30, at Neo Química Arena in São Paulo.
The return leg is scheduled for Sunday at the Maracanã.
