Riquelme Fillipi travels to United States to join Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami | OneFootball

Riquelme Fillipi has flown to the United States to begin his spell with Inter Miami after completing a move from Palmeiras.

According to Globo.com, the 20-year-old travelled in the early hours of Thursday, having waited for a work visa to link up with a squad that includes Lionel Messi.

Palmeiras sold 60% of his rights for around US$ 5.5 million, a little over R$ 28 million.

Inter Miami announced the deal on 2 September. Fillipi signed through 2030, with an option to extend by a further season.

He joined Palmeiras in 2021 at under-15 level and progressed through the ranks, making his senior debut in 2025 with two appearances.

In 2026 he featured nine times for the first team while alternating with the under-20s, for whom he scored two goals, provided one assist and played 12 games.

He had been among Abel Ferreira’s least-used senior players, so a departure was considered when interest emerged.
