Lamine Yamal is growing increasingly frustrated with the way the Spanish media constantly highlights his lack of goals in La Liga, reports Jose Alvarez Haya in El Chiringuito TV.

Despite his outstanding performances and significant contributions to Barcelona’s attacking play, the ongoing focus on his goal drought in the league has become a source of irritation for the young forward.

The teenager has been one of the key players in Barcelona’s attack this season, proving himself as an important member of the team.

Alongside his attacking teammates, he has played a vital role in keeping Barcelona competitive in both domestic and European competitions.

What’s the story?

Interestingly, there is one statistic that continues to be a talking point—his inability to find the back of the net in La Liga for months.

The last time he scored in the competition was back in October, during the El Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu. Since then, he has gone 14 league matches without a goal, a fact that certain media outlets never fail to mention before every game.

This prolonged goal drought is particularly puzzling given how prolific he was at the start of the season. In the first 11 league matches, he managed to score five times, needing just 13 shots on target to do so.

His finishing was clinical, and his confidence in front of goal was evident. However, since that match against Real Madrid, the goals have dried up for him in La Liga.

He is still shining

What makes the situation even stranger is that his struggles seem to be limited to the league. He has continued scoring in other competitions, proving that his ability to find the net has not disappeared.

Despite this, the media persist in emphasising his lack of league goals, which has now become a source of frustration for the young forward.

Rather than focusing on his overall contributions or his performances outside La Liga, certain sections of the press continue to highlight his goal drought, creating unnecessary pressure.
