It is common to see iconic former players returning to their clubs in management or sporting roles, and FC Barcelona is no exception.

At present, Deco serves as Sporting Director, Bojan Krkic works as Football Coordinator, and Juliano Belletti leads Barca Atletic as head coach. Now another legendary figure has expressed his willingness to follow a similar path.

Brazilian great Rivaldo has once again positioned himself close to FC Barcelona. In a recent interview, reported by Mundo Deportivo, the 1999 Ballon d’Or winner made it clear that he would welcome the chance to return to the club in an official capacity.

While reflecting on his long-standing connection with the Blaugranes, the former forward kept the door open to a future role and confirmed that he is ready to listen to any proposal that comes his way. He said:

“If a proposal comes up someday, I will be willing to listen.”

The 1999 Ballon d’Or winner also praised Joan Laporta for his good work:

“The club president has managed to steer the situation back on track after the most difficult years and after Messi’s departure. Today, you can see a more solid Barcelona with the ambition to fight for the Champions League again.”

For many Barcelona supporters, the possibility of seeing Rivaldo return in an advisory or leadership role would be an exciting prospect.

Whether this becomes a reality in the coming months will depend on the political and sporting decisions that unfold, but the Brazilian legend has made his stance clear. If an opportunity appears, he is ready to listen.
