River Plate agree deal with Atlético Mineiro for Fausto Vera loan

River Plate have reached an agreement with Atlético Mineiro for Fausto Vera, with only final details to be completed before he signs.

According to SuperDepor.com, the 25-year-old midfielder was not in Jorge Sampaoli’s plans at Atlético Mineiro and is set to join on a one-year loan that includes an option to buy for four million dollars.

Vera is already in the country to finalise terms with River. A medical is expected between Friday and Saturday, after which the contract would be signed.

The Núñez club will continue negotiating for other names, with Santiago Ascacíbar and Gianluca Prestianni among the main options.

The move would return the former Argentinos Juniors player to Argentine football on a temporary deal, subject to the remaining formalities.
