He has been named among the frontrunners to return to former club Celtic this summer.

Celtic won the Scottish Premiership on the final day last weekend, pipping Hearts under veteran boss Martin O’Neill, whose future beyond the summer is unclear.

Keane has also been linked with Slovakia champions Slovan Bratislava. During a loan in 2009/10, he scored 16 in 19 appearances for Celtic.

His management career has taken him to India, Israel and Hungary, including a brief player-manager stint at ATK in 2018. He later led Maccabi Tel Aviv from June 2023 to June 2024, winning the league and Israeli Cup, before taking over at Ferencvaros in January 2025.

He has also coached with Ireland, Middlesbrough and Leeds.
