Roberto De Zerbi is in danger of losing his job at Olympique de Marseille after their UEFA Champions League exit, RMC Sport reports.

Marseille were dramatically knocked out on Wednesday night. Despite last week’s 3-0 defeat by Liverpool, they still had a strong chance to reach the top 24 and the playoffs.

Before visiting Club Brugge, their progression probability was put at 94%. But a 3-0 loss in Belgium, combined with Benfica’s 4-2 win over Real Madrid and other unfavourable results, left them 25th.

Discussions are taking place between the parties to decide the Italian’s future at the Vélodrome.

Marseille are third in Ligue 1, seven points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain.
