The club said in a statement that it has signed goalkeeper Rocco Ríos Novo from Argentinian Liga Profesional de Fútbol side Club Atlético Lanús on a permanent deal running to 2028-29, with an option for 2029-30.

The 23-year-old remains at Inter Miami after last year’s loan, when he played a key part in the historic MLS Cup-clinching run in the Audi 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs. He featured in every postseason match and kept two clean sheets.

Across 2025 he made 19 appearances in all competitions, recording five clean sheets.

Born in Los Angeles with Argentine roots, Ríos Novo joined last year after two seasons at Phoenix Rising in the USL Championship while on loan from Lanús. He came through Lanús’s academy, then at 18 moved on loan to Atlanta United 2 and later made his first-team debut, totalling more than 1,500 minutes across 18 appearances between 2021 and 2022, including two clean sheets.

He then spent two seasons with Phoenix Rising, making 87 appearances and helping the team win the 2023 USL Championship.

Internationally, he has represented Argentina at youth level, was selected by head coach Javier Mascherano for the 2024 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament, and won the 2019 South American U-17 Championship.
