Celtic and Bayer Leverkusen are no strangers to transfer business, and could be set for another deal as soon as the January transfer window.

The latest could well be Cameron Carter-Vickers, with the Athletic reporting that there has been interest from the reigning German champions in the USMNT defender as they look to find a replacement for Barcelona-bound Jonathan Tah.

But, quizzed on the future of his centre-back, Rodgers was quick to shoot down speculation.

"Listen, I haven't seen anything of that to be honest. I suspect there'll be interest in all our players and lots of gossip and speculation going about so but no I think our idea is to improve our squad."
