Santos have agreed the signing of Rodinei after he ended his Olympiacos contract, with a deal running to December 2027.

He had been tied to the Greek club until 30 June 2027 but secured a release and is now a free agent. According to Diario Do Peixe, he is expected to arrive in Brazil this week for medical tests before an official announcement.

The Santos hierarchy had awaited his clearance from Olympiacos to finalise the remaining details, and his rescission has cleared the way for his arrival at Vila Belmiro.

Rodinei has played in Greece since 2023 after leaving Flamengo. For Olympiacos he made more than 135 official appearances, scoring 12 goals and providing 24 assists, while taking on leadership responsibilities and becoming one of the side’s key figures.

In Greece he won the Conference League in 2023/24, the league and cup double in 2024/25, and the Super Cup in 2025/26.

Before Europe, his standout Brazilian stint came with Flamengo, who he joined in 2016. Loaned to Internacional in 2020, he returned to Rio and became an important option in 2022, converting the penalty that sealed the Copa do Brasil against Corinthians at the Maracanã. With Flamengo he won two Libertadores, the 2019 league title, the 2022 cup and state honours, and he has also played for Corinthians, CRB, Penapolense, Ponte Preta and Internacional, finishing Brazilian league runner-up in 2020.
