Manchester City were deservedly beaten by Bodo/Glimt in Norway as they fell to a 3-1 defeat.

Kapser Waarts Hogh’s first-half double put Bodo two ahead at the break before Jens Petter Hauge added a third with a curling strike from distance.

Things went from bad to worse for City when Rodri was shown two yellow cards in quick succession to reduce City to ten men.

Rayan Cherki pulled one back for the visitors with a low, deflected strike but it proved to make little difference, with City’s hopes of making it into the top eight and securing automatic progression to the Champions League round of 16 suffering a blow.

Guardiola’s side take on Galatasaray at home in their final league stage outing.
