Rodrigo Mora became Porto’s youngest player to reach 50 league games and is now a champion, with celebrations planned at the Aliados on Saturday.
He started at Vila das Aves to bring up his half-century in the national league. O Jogo reports that at 19 years and five days he surpassed Rúben Neves, who reached 50 at 19 years and six months.
Serafim, 19 years and seven months, Fernando Gomes, 19 years and 10 months, and Futre, 20, complete the top five of Porto’s earliest league appearance-makers.
Across his 50 league outings he has 37 wins, eight draws and five defeats, the most recent on Sunday. His record includes 11 goals and four assists in 2462 minutes.
Mora made his debut on 29 September 2024 in a 4-0 win over Arouca, coming on for the final 10 minutes.
On receiving the Dragão de Ouro Footballer of the Year award, he said his remaining dream was to become champion and celebrate at the Aliados. That celebration is due on Saturday.
In November he had already overtaken Neves as the youngest to reach 50 appearances for Porto in all competitions.
