Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has on Sunday evening provided an update on the wellbeing of attacking star Rodrygo.
This comes after the Brazilian was forced to sit out Real’s most recent outing.
Los Blancos marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming Celta Vigo to Spain’s capital for a must-win La Liga clash.
When all was said and done, the day’s hosts managed as much, thanking goals on the part of Arda Güler and Kylian Mbappé for a 3-2 triumph.
As alluded to above, though, playing no part en route to as much was Real wide-man Rodrygo.
The Brazilian international was left out of Los Merengues’ matchday squad entirely, after coming down with a sudden bout of illness.
Speaking to the media post-match on Sunday, the subject of Rodrygo’s status for next weekend’s showdown with Barcelona was therefore put to Real Madrid headmaster Carlo Ancelotti.
And the Italian tactician went on to assure:
“Rodrygo will recover. The team for El Clásico is clear.”
