Rangers fans are hoping for a major announcement this Friday, with the January window now well and truly underway. Outgoings and incomings in terms of personnel have become a major factor. It is understood that bids were accepted for both Sturm Graz’s Tochi Chukwuani and Westerlo’s Tuur Rommens. Danny Rohl has ‘confirmed’ these could be unveiled over the next day or so.
The combined cost for the pair is said to be around £8m. Both look excellent players for the money and their prospects. They are a good age. They are already stalwarts in credible top flight European leagues. The big notion is that they may be announced this Friday.
This would be a big boost. It would be a huge fillip going into Sunday’s match at Pittodrie against Aberdeen. The Dons will be reeling from the last result. While having no manager they will want to up their game. Rangers can expect a hostile reception in the north of Scotland. Aberdeen are notorious for despising our club and the poison at the North Sea that awaits us is always there.
Either way having these two names confirmed on Friday or into the weekend would lift the support. Rangers fans can finally see quality coming in. These are two talented players with good reputations. While Rangers may lack a little experience in the squad, management and scouting are working on that too. For pure footballing quality Tochi Chukwuani and Tuur Rommens are a clear step up if/when confirmed.
