Manchester United are putting up a front, and the Roman club is monitoring other prospects: Frederic Massara has listed George Ilenikhena. Born in 2006, the Nigerian striker has accelerated.

At 17, Antwerp acquired him from Amiens for €6 million, and in Belgium he scored 14 goals and provided one assist in 50 appearances.

One season was enough to attract the attention of Europe’s top clubs: on July 25, 2024, Monaco brought him to France for approximately €18 million.

In his first season in Ligue 1, he scored 6 goals and 2 assists in 930 minutes.

This season, however, he hasn’t shone: he’s played just 341 minutes and has scored just 2 goals. Roma could be leaving Evan Ferguson and Artem Dovbyk, and the Lagos native’s profile could be attractive to Gasperini, who is ready to make him lethal.

As reported by Caughtoffside, the Giallorossi are pursuing the 2006-born player, but they’re not alone.

Monaco has opened up about a move and is asking around €20 million, but Eintracht Frankfurt, Leverkusen, Stuttgart, and Villarreal have also set their sights on the player.
