Roma are serious and aim to make a double attacking move in January.

Sporting director Frederic Massara is pushing for Giacomo Raspadori, and the arrival of the Atlético Madrid striker seems imminent, while negotiations with Manchester United for Joshua Zirkzee are further behind.

As journalist Ben Jacobs revealed in a live broadcast on the “United Stand” YouTube channel, the Dutch striker’s departure is more likely than Kobbie Mainoo’s departure because the Red Devils believe it’s easier to replace the striker than the midfielder, given that their squad is very short.

The agreement between Roma and Zirkzee is practically finalized, but the Giallorossi are forced to wait: Manchester United wants to wait until the end of the Africa Cup of Nations, which is why the deal is expected to close in the second half of January.

The English club’s priority is to buy a new midfielder and only subsequently, in the event of Zirkzee’s departure, would the Red Devils go on the market to buy a striker
