Joshua Zirkzee is the name Roma are working on for the January transfer window, and that’s now a given.
Artem Dovbyk could leave to finance the transfer window, and Evan Ferguson, as Gian Piero Gasperini has repeatedly reiterated, isn’t convincing the Giallorossi coach.
The Dutchman therefore presents the perfect opportunity to please Gasperini and restart the race for fourth place.
His playing time at Manchester United is scarce, and the player sees Italy as a chance to get back into the game and earn a call-up to the World Cup.
With the Dutchman’s “yes,” confidence in the success of the deal grows.
The player, as Il Tempo reports, has apparently opened up about the move, but now Manchester United must be convinced.
Roma hopes to get the green light in early January and close the deal on a loan with an option to buy, which becomes mandatory with the Champions League.
The other name in the Giallorossi’s orbit is Giacomo Raspadori. Gasp has long had a strong interest in the player and would like him to join Roma as a bolstering midfielder.
Now, Atlético Madrid could meet the Roman club’s demands, which could only close the deal on a loan with an option to buy.
