Vlasic was a nightmare for Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma last season.

The Croatian attacking midfielder delivered a high-level performance that led Torino to a 2-3 victory at the Olimpico, knocking the Giallorossi out of the Coppa Italia and sparking discontent at the stadium.

The 1997-born player provided two crucial assists for the Granata side’s victory, a disappointing evening for the Roma team and further proof that Vlasic is a talented player.

Vlasic could enhance Roma’s attacking lineup for next season.

As Corriere dello Sport reports, Gasperini sees the Croatian as an ideal candidate to spark the attacking midfield he has in mind for his second year in the capital.

Roma is increasingly convinced they should make a move for such a talented player. Vlasic has another year left on his contract with Torino, and the agreement also includes an option for the Granata to extend the deal for another season.

Talks between the parties regarding a renewal have yet to materialize.

There is a growing sense that the Croatian attacking midfielder, who will be a key player in the next World Cup, is considering joining a top club to play in the Champions League.
