Roma continue Danso negotiations with Lens | OneFootball

Roma are reportedly progressing in talks with RC Lens for Kevin Danso, after Atalanta turned towards Rodrigo Becao of Fenerbahce instead.

It is not the first time that he has been heavily linked with a move to Serie A, as he had already been on the radar for Atalanta this summer.

However, with their focus instead going to Becao, it leaves the path clear for Roma to pursue the Austria international.

Roma targeting Danso for defence

Danso turns 26 next month and spent time in England with Southampton and several German teams before the €5.5m move to Lens in the summer of 2021.

He already has 23 senior caps for Austria and Sportitalia are confident that the Giallorossi have made progress in talks for the player today.

The asking price is around €25m, but can be whittled down and spread out over several instalments.

Also linked with a potential swoop for the Austrian are Wolves and West Ham United.
