Priority is given to contract renewals, along with disposals for capital gains, even before signings.
Roma is currently working on these, while awaiting the permanent appointment of sporting director Tony D’Amico at Trigoria (starting July 1st).
The thorniest situation in recent weeks has concerned Paulo Dybala.
For the Argentine striker, as well as for Zeki Celik, the deal is a matter of days.
As Il Tempo reports, the Turkish full-back’s salary is expected to be increased to approximately €3 million.
The newspaper also sheds light on Lorenzo Pellegrini. Thanks to the good relationship between his agent and D’Amico, the Giallorossi’s number 7 will proceed smoothly towards a renewal (including a salary adjustment).
Roma’s strategy is therefore clear, and one that Gian Piero Gasperini has long been steadfast in. Maintaining the core of the squad will be crucial, adding key players in the coming weeks as the summer transfer window gets underway.
