Dan Friedkin appears to be upping his game at Roma.

After visiting Trigoria two days ago, the Giallorossi president returned to the training center and promised to attend the next Lega Serie A meeting.

This morning, Friedkin engaged in intense diplomatic work: he received compliments from UEFA, Lega Serie A president Simonelli, PSG president Al Khelaifi, and ECA president Al Khelaifi.

Immediately afterward, as Leggo reports, he traveled to Trigoria, where he met with Ranieri, Massara, and Gasperini.

Roma’s top spot in the league table and the expressions of esteem expressed in recent days have strengthened his determination to further develop Roma, despite the well-known budget problems that have plagued recent months.

The goal is clear: to intervene in the January transfer window, in compliance with Financial Fair Play regulations, to please Gasperini. Indeed, the coach expects at least one reinforcement in attack.

However, before signings can be made, some surplus players will need to be sold: among the possible departures are Dovbyk, Baldanzi, and Pisilli.

The new name on the incoming list is Joshua Zirkzee. The Dutch striker, who arrived at Manchester United from Bologna a year ago for €43 million, is currently on the sidelines of the project and has been offered to various Serie A clubs.

Given his cost, the only viable option would be a loan. Gasperini had already sought him out during his time at Atalanta, and the player has already shown he can make a difference in Serie A.

His salary would not be an obstacle: €3.6 million per year, reduced to €1.8 million due to the six-month contract.
