Roma coach Ivan Juric drew the ire of fans after making a double tactical substitution just 32 minutes into the match against Fiorentina.

The tactician had already been under fire since replacing club legend Daniele De Rossi a few weeks into the campaign.

Evidently he was not happy with the performance or his starting XI at the Stadio Artemio Franchi this evening, because he made a double substitution at the 32nd minute.

Juric hauled off Angelino and Bryan Cristante to bring on Nicola Zalewski and Manu Kone.

Fiorentina were already leading 2-0 at that point with Moise Kean’s goal and a controversial Lucas Beltran penalty, as Zeki Celik seemed to get his toes to the ball before Edoardo Bove.

It proved at least partly a good idea, because one of the substitutes promptly scored to get Roma back into the match, Kone unleashing a screamer from distance into the far top corner.

However, Fiorentina made it 3-1 moments later with Kean meeting Bove’s assist at the back post.

Roma fans vented their fury online, although many of them have been targeting Cristante and captain Lorenzo Pellegrini for weeks anyway.

Many are assuming this will be the final straw to see Juric sacked and they fear the “Russian roulette for whoever we’ll end up getting next.”

Some even joked that Bove, who was born and raised in the Roma academy as a supporter of the club, “invented a penalty to get Juric fired, proving himself the greatest Romanista.”
