AS Roma are in talks with Manchester United over a deal for forward Joshua Zirkzee according to reports from Italy.
Sky Sports Italia states that the Serie A side are looking to sign Zirkzee on an initial loan for the second part of the 2025/26 season with an added option to make the move permanent.
Roma have had a positive start to the current campaign under Gian Piero Gasperini, sitting fourth in the table four points behind current leaders AC Milan.
Zirkzee found game time difficult to come by this season until Benjamin Sesko's injury. The Dutch striker also bagged his first goal of the campaign in United's 2-1 win away to Crystal Palace last month.
One stumbling block for this deal is that Gasperini is said to want a new arrival early in the month with United unlikely to sanction the exit of an attacking player while Bryan Mbeumo is on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Zirkzee previously spent two seasons in Italy with Bologna and had a short loan stint with Parma while a Bayern Munich player. In total, the 24-year-old has played 57 Serie A games, scoring 13 times.
