Axel Disasi is steadily becoming a wanted man in Italy, as now Roma have joined AC Milan in the hunt for the Chelsea defender’s signature.
The 27-year-old Frenchman has found himself frozen out of Enzo Maresca’s first team, following a sub-par loan move to Aston Villa in 2024-25. Furthermore, his popularity in West London was greatly affected after he pushed for a return to Monaco last summer.
A Mauricio Pochettino-led Chelsea bought Disasi from the Monegasque club for £38.5 million (€45 million) in the summer of 2023. Yet since then, he’s failed to properly make his mark at Stamford Bridge. Now, as Tuttomercatoweb report, the towering defender could go out on another loan.
The Italian outlet has suggested that Milan have registered concrete interest, while Roma have also been making consistent moves today. The Gialorossi are seeking a low-cost central defender in addition to attacking reinforcements.
Disasi, whose current contract with the Blues runs until the 30th of June, 2029, started his senior career with Paris FC in 2015. However, after just three league games, he moved on to develop at Reims for four years before being snapped up by Monaco in the summer of 2020.
