Roma are preparing Mario Hermoso’s replacement as the Spanish defender nears an exit from the club.

After only a few months in the Italian capital, Hermoso is in talks to join Bayer Leverkusen on loan.

Talks with Bayer Leverkusen are ongoing, although the Germans are aiming for a six-month loan.

In the event of a transfer, sporting director Florent Ghisolfi is ready to step in with a new signing.

Among the names being considered is Mika Marmol of Las Palmas, writes calciomercato.it.

However, the payment of the player’s 10 million release clause (of which 50% will go to Barcelona) represents an obstacle.

For now, contacts are at a standstill, but the trail could reopen in the coming days.
