The departure of Devis Vazquez, who joined Besiktas at the end of the winter transfer window, left Roma with Gollini as Svilar’s only backup.
The team will continue to rely on one of the most reliable goalkeepers in the game, who has been delivering top-notch performances this season.
However, starting in June, a second goalkeeper will be needed who can provide a viable backup and be available when Roma’s number 99 needs to be rested.
Even though the transfer window has just closed, the rumors never stop.
According to TuttoJuve, Roma have set their sights on Greek goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis, born in 2002, from Olympiacos.
The 23-year-old is impressing both in the league and the Champions League, attracting the attention of not only the Giallorossi, but also Juventus and Napoli.
However, Olympiacos are reportedly unwilling to drop below a €20 million valuation. Tzolakis has conceded only 10 goals in 21 games in the Greek Superleague this season, and Olympiacos will play the first leg of their Champions League playoff against Bayer Leverkusen tonight.
