Gian Piero Gasperini’s demands remain unchanged. As was clear in August, so it remains clear now ahead of the January transfer window.

The Giallorossi coach wants a left winger and a striker, especially now that the available ones are struggling due to injuries and a lack of goals.

As for the center forward position, there are two main names on Frederic Massara’s list.

The primary target is Joshua Zirkzee. The Dutchman, who has only played 45 minutes with Manchester United and earns €5 million net, hasn’t made up his mind yet about his future but needs playing time to qualify for the World Cup.

The other name on the Giallorossi’s transfer watchlist is Mathys Tel. Born in 2005, the Frenchman played just 359 minutes for Tottenham, who spent €45 million between loan and mandatory transfers to acquire him from Bayern Munich.

Furthermore, he was left off the UEFA squad list by Spurs, and Roma are considering him.

Then there’s Yuri Alberto. Roma met with the player’s team at Trigoria on Tuesday, reports Il Tempo. The Giallorossi had already negotiated him in secret last summer, offering €25 million.

Today, given the costs, it remains a complicated operation: Corinthians value him at at least €30 million. So Massara, in collaboration with Gasperini, is studying all the other options.
